The College is named after its heavenly patron, Saint Alphonsa of Bharananganam. She was the first women of Indian origin to be canonized as a saint by the Catholic Church. Hers was a life of love and prayer which has inspired thousands who seek her intercession. The Alphonsien community shares the heavenly bliss of this great visionary as Blessed Alphonsa has been elevated to Sainthood.
