  • 48 College Day celebrations on 6 March 2012. Hon. M. P. Jose K Mani inaugurated the function.
  • Annual Sports Day 2012 on 29 February.
  • Science Day 2012 celebrations inaugurated by His Excellency Joseph Kallarangat, Bishop of Pala. Prof. V. N. Rajasekharan Pillai, Executive Vice President, The Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE) delivered the key-note address.
  • A two day national seminar on Democracy and Civil Society in India was organised by the Centre for Gandhian Studies on 7 and 8 February 2012. The inaugural session was presided over by Dr. Sr. Celine Mathew, Principal of Alphonsa College and the keynote address was delivered by Prof. M.P.Mathai, Professor, Peace Research Centre, Gujarat Vidyapith, Ahmedabad. Dr. Teresa Joseph, Director, Centre for Gandhian Studies welcomed the gathering and Ms. Rubymol Philip delivered the vote of thanks.

  • On 29 July 2009, Mar Joseph Kallarangatt, Bishop of Pala blessed and laid the foundation stone for the new Administrative Block of the college. The new block consists of seminar hall, office rooms, waiting room and classrooms.
  • To facilitate an understanding of Mahatma Gandhi’s life, philosophy and values among the general public, a two day exhibition on Mahatma Gandhi – ‘Gandhidarshan-2009’ was organised by the Centre for Gandhian Studies on 18th and 19th November 2009. The exhibition was organised in association with the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Kerala, Changanacherry Social Service Society, Pala Social Welfare Society and Poornodaya Book Trust, Kochi.
