Department of History

History department was started on September 9, 1981. Department offers B.A Degree in History. The subsidiary subjects are Economics and Political Science. Rev. Sr.Mary grace was the first HOD of this Department. Other prominent faculty members of this department were Sr.Puis, Mrs.C.A. Daisy, Sr. Felitia, Mrs.Kochuthresiamma George, Sr.Mable amd Ms.Elizebeth Joseph. Department provide every opportunity to students to understand their culture and heritage. Students were taken to historical sites to widen their historical knowledge. They were encouraged to attend and participate in various seminars, debates and Quiz competition. As a part of Extension activity students were taken to old age homes and orphanages. Altogether this department got 17 ranks.
